Obv: Bust of William III, TO THE FRIENDS FOR THE ABOLITION OF SLAVERY around. Rev: A cap of liberty on a pole, AYLESBURY TOKEN around, 1796 below. Edge: Plain.
Uncirculated. Red & brown with some remaining mint lustre. Some detritus center reverse. Rare. Ex. Mermaid collection. Ex. Brown.
The plain edge has better metal flow than the other varieties, but still a bit soft in the centers. An anti-slavery token. Hard to find a better example of this, as they are usually much less defined in the centers.
