Samuel Kingdon was an ironmonger in Exeter. Bishop Blaize is the patron saint of Woolcombers. Prior to being beheaded, he was tortured and flayed with iron combs used to prepare wool in a form of torture known as Carding. Manufactured by Westwood and Hancock.
