Jacobs's copy of the token for W. Taylor, a block maker with naval contracts and a brewer, both of which are reflected on the shield of arms on the reverse. The contract was eventually awarded to Matthew Boulton at Soho Mint to produce the Hampshire Southampton DH 89.
