AU.

Thomas Sharp was a mercer and a draper in Portsmouth. John Jervis was an Admiral in the Royal Navy, known as "Old Jarvie" by his crews. Token commemorates the Battle of Cape St. Vincent, where though outnumbered, achieved a legendary victory. Even though he knew he was outnumbered he still joined in battle, as we see from the following exchange:

"There are eight sail of the line, Sir John"
"Very well, sir"
"There are twenty sail of the line, Sir John"
"Very well, sir"
"There are twenty five sail of the line, Sir John"
"Very well, sir"
"There are twenty seven sail of the line, Sir John"

"Enough, sir, no more of that; the die is cast, and if there are fifty sail I will go through them."
