Obv: View of St. Paul’s cathedral, 1794 in exergue. Rev: A star and garter, H. YOUNG DEALER IN COINS NO. 18 LUDGATE ST. LONDON around. Edge: Plain.

Extremely Fine. Early die state. Penny.

As the reverse states, Henry Young was a coin dealer, but was also a goldsmith and jeweler. His business was close to St. Paul’s. This was probably used as both a private token and advertising ticket for his business. St. Paul’s is one of London’s iconic buildings and Christopher Wren’s masterpiece following the destruction of the original medieval cathedral in the Great Fire of 1666
