Simon Monk tells us in his new book that this church is one of the few that can date back to Saxon times, as it is first mentioned in 1054! It was later rebuilt, but was then burned down in the Great Fire of 1666. Wren rebuilt the church that we see on our token, but it was to fall into disrepair and was demolished but for the stone tower and porch all used in the construction of a new church, All Hallows Twickenham. The only use of reverse #4 in the series.
