The private token struck for Richard Wright, a numismatist who also owned a museum formerly owned by Richard Greene. Greene was an apothecary and a surgeon who founded his museum from his own personal collection of antiquities. The doorway on the reverse is from the west porch of the Lichfield cathedral, which still stands.
