One of the rare Conder penny tokens. This private token shows Cardinal Wolsey on the obverse. Known for his tenure under Henry VIII, Wolsey was from Ipswich and created a Collegiate school there. All that remains today are portions of the gate shown on the reverse. 200 were struck in copper and 6 in silver.
