Uncirculated. Bronzed Proof. Blinding, reflective fields. Tiny spots on reverse. Super strike. Lovely and dramatic in hand.

The T.R. and D.R. initials on the bales on the reverse probably refer to Tay Ropery and Dundee Ropery, two rope manufacturers in Dundee at the time.  Flax-heckling is a process used in the making of flax. Dudhope Castle was built in the thirteenth century and still stands today, although now it houses a business school and offices.
