Hops production within Kent has long been a lynchpin in their economy. One of the more cleverly produced cyphers uses the four letters of his last name TOKE, rather than first and last initials. These dies were also used to the point of failure and usually comes with multiple die cracks on both sides. The date 1767 precludes it from the majority of ‘Conder’ tokens which were generally struck from 1787-1797.
