Good Extremely Fine. Possible old clean that has retoned. Dark flan. Proof-like. Penny. Rare. 

The Bank of England building was one of the targets of the Gordon Riots of 1790, led by Lord George Gordon (who can be found depicted and honored on the tokens of Thomas Spence). The bank was successful in its defense and the building was saved.
